Emerging Designer Awards 2025: Celebrating Australia’s Next Generation of Design Talent
We’re proud to announce that the Authentic Design Alliance (ADA) is once again a Supporting Partner of the Emerging Designer Awards 2025, presented by Artedomus in collaboration with The Local Project.
Now in its third year, the Emerging Designer Awards recognise the most promising new voices across architecture, interior, and product design. This national program provides early-career designers with a rare platform to showcase their work and gain career-defining exposure.
About the Emerging Designer Awards
The Emerging Designer Awards 2025 honour innovation and originality through four key categories:
- Commercial Interior
- Residential Interior
- Residential Architecture
- Product Design (in partnership with New Volumes)
Winners receive international recognition through The Local Project, including a professional video feature, editorial coverage, and a chance to develop a commercial product with New Volumes.

Entry Criteria – Eligible applicants must:
- Hold a tertiary qualification in architecture or design
- Have an active practice (established in the past 5 years)
- Be a full-time Australian-based designer or architect
Project entries must:
- Be completed in Australia (2023 or later)
- Be a minimum of 100sqm (interior categories: 3+ rooms)
- Be available for documentation and interviews (Aug–Sep 2025)
Product design entries must:
- Be original (no existing commercial contracts)
- Be suitable for terracotta production using chalk moulds
- Include sketches, renders, and rationale
Key Dates
- Entries close: 8 July 2025
- Filming & interviews: August–September 2025
- Judging: Five leading industry figures across architecture, interior and product design
