A Circularity and Sustainability Success Story

When Australia Post moved into its new, purpose-built address in Burnley, it wasn’t just a relocation— it was a rare opportunity to rethink how a national organisation could lead by example.

Rather than defaulting to a traditional workplace fit-out, Australia Post partnered with Living Edge and global design studio Hassell to chart a different course grounded in reuse, restoration, and long-term responsibility.

Relive, by Living Edge

Relive is at the heart of this approach, a Living Edge program that gives products a second life by refurbishing and reintegrating them into new environments.

Working closely with Australia Post, the team assessed, restored, and returned thousands of legacy pieces, creating a workplace with a circular purpose — one that preserves the value of quality design, reduces environmental impact, and demonstrates that it’s essential to embed sustainability within all decisions.

Design, Procurement and Policy Shaping Environmental Outcomes

Australia Post, Living Edge, and Hassell share how circular thinking can be successfully implemented across large organisations.

Framed by this landmark collaboration, the conversation will unpack how design, procurement, and policy can shape workplaces that reflect environmental values and foster a future-focused culture.
